Yeah, the learning to draw thing didn't pan out. I just wasn't able to maintain my interest, and I don't think that it was really my thing. However, I still wanted to find a way to express myself artistically.

In the last year, I've given up the MMO habit (goodbye, World of Warcraft) and returned to a hobby that I last had a decade ago in college - Warhammer 40,000. That gave me the opportunity to revisit another old hobby of mine - miniature painting. I haven't painted in over 4 years, so I'm a bit rusty, and my brushes are not in the greatest of shape (I have new ones on my Christmas list), but it's been a chance to stretch myself, learn new techniques, try new things, and get back into the swing of building models and painting them. Am I Golden Demon quality? No, and I think it'd be years before I ever hit anything near that level. However, if I can manage halfway-decent tabletop play quality, I'll be happy, and if I can just exceed that and make halfway-decent display/diorama quality, I'll be happier yet.
